Ronald G. Kramer, age79, of Round Lake Beach, died Sunday, September 30, 20187 at the James A. Lovell VA Hospital. He was born June 7, 1939 in Iola, KS to Herman and Dorothy (Swinford) Kramer. On June 9, 1962, he married Mary Jo Butcher in Long Beach, CA.

Ronald, a 42-year resident of the Round Lake Area, proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. In his leisure time, Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and taking road trips to see extended family.

He also enjoyed watching NASCAR while cheering on his favorite driver, #14 Clint Bowyer. Ronald lived an exceptionally full life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed. Ronald is survived by his son, David (Tammy Hurley) Kramer; two daughters, Janet (Mike Burns) Kramer; Kathleen Kramer; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Cassie, Terra, Mikaela, Caleb, Amelia, Eliza; two brothers, Ralph (Karen) Kramer, Michael (Zeonia) Kramer; his sister, Kathryn (Marvin) White and Dorothy (late Charlie) Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Jo, on April 25, 2011; his twin brother Donald Kramer; and his sisters, Ruth Miller, Mary Miller and Karen Jordan. . Friends and neighbors may gather from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60050.

The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
