RONALD KAUFMANN Ronald “Ron” Kaufmann, 71, of Quincy passed away at 6:00 p.m. Thursday (December 6, 2018) in his home after a short illness. Born January 21, 1947 in Quincy, Ron was the son of Kenneth William and Dorothy Mabel Breuer Kaufmann. Ron was first employed for Prairie Farms helping deliver dairy products, he then worked for Huck Manufacturing for a short time.

He then he became a long time employee for Greenmount Cemetery for 40 years until his retirement. Uncle Ronnie was good with his grandnieces and grandnephews and loved by his nieces and nephews. Ron was a dependable groundskeeper for many friends and neighbors.

He was a self taught musician and enjoyed playing both the piano and guitar. Ron also enjoyed vegetable gardening for decades, he learned from his dad and paternal grandmother. If he wasn’t riding his bicycle, he was walking.

Our hearts are broken to lose our brother, uncle, grand and great grand uncle. He and his unique chuckle will be greatly missed. Survivors include his siblings Carolyn, Larry (Susan), Roger, Ruth and Karen; one brother in-law John, six nieces Gina, Tanya, Sara, Christina, Lauren and Danielle; two nephews Jesse and Scott; six grand nephews Dustin, Zachary, Xander, Oliver, Thomas and Zane; six grand nieces Miranda, Sheali, Meimi, Ameya, Dacota and Yumei and one great grand nephew Noah.

Also surviving are two aunts and many cousins whom he always enjoyed visiting. Mr. Kaufmann was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Linda. Cremation rites have been accorded to Mr. Kaufman.

Services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent’s Home.
