Ronald P. “Ronnie” Carr, Sr. KEYSER, WV – Ronald Paul “Ronnie” Carr, Sr., 72, of Keyser, died on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Potomac Valley Hospital. Born on Monday, September 30, 1946 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Glenn I. and Edna F. (Burns) Carr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Carr.

Ronald graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1964, proudly served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and retired from Westvaco as a Warehouseman in Finished Product. He was a member of Boyce-Houser American Legion Post #41, VFW Post #3518 Nancy Hanks, Keyser, DAV, Vietnam Veterans of America, Cumberland Chapter 172 and a member by faith of Rees Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time in his garage, using his hands to fix anything, especially automobiles.

He also took pride in maintaining his home inside and out. He enjoyed watching sports from the Pirates to “How ‘bout them Cowboy’s”. Surviving are his wife, Frances Louise (Roy) Carr; his children, Ronald P. Carr, Jr., William M. Carr and wife Lisa and Rhonda L. Swanson and husband Scott; his grandchildren, Destiney Huffman, Aaron Carr, Haley Dolly, Lexi Carr, Kirstie Carr and Brittany Swanson.

His great-grandchildren, Emilyn, Zachary, Zoey, Cameron and Abel. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Wanda Carr and numerous nieces and nephews. Box 26, New Creek, WV 26743 or Boyce-Houser American Legion Post #41, 66 South Main Street, Keyser, WV 26726.

Friends will be received at Rees Chapel United Methodist Church, 4404 New Creek Highway, New Creek, Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Funeral Services will be held immediately after visitation at 1:00pm with the Reverend Dr. Stephon Reed officiating. Inurnment following in Potomac Memorial Gardens with Military Honors being accorded by United States National Army Honor Guard and Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
