Obituary for Ronda LeAnn Conway Ronda LeAnn Conway, 66, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita surrounded by her family. She was born August 28, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas. Ronda grew up as a child in Garden City where she attended elementary school.

In the early 1960’s, she moved with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from high school in Las Vegas, she attended and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Ronda worked as an elementary school teacher in Las Vegas, Garden City, and Holcomb until her retirement in 2015.

She enjoyed her career as a teacher, playing cards, Candy Crush, and coffee. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. On June 15, 1985, she married Ronald A. Conway in Garden City.

He survives. Other survivors include 4 Children John (Brandy) Conway of Liberal, Ks, Jeff (Rachelle) Conway of Wichita, Ks, Megan (Brandon) Bailes of Mustang, Ok, & Melissa Conway of Dodge City, Ks; her Mother Joyce Amanda Wolking of Holcomb, Ks; a Brother Rodney LaMon (Robin) Wolking of Holcomb, Ks; and 8 Grandchildren Brianna Conway, Alyssa Conway, Charlee Conway, Levi Conway, Jasmine Conway, Ryleigh Bailes, & Cory Bailes. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 also at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Rev. Warren Stecklein and Rev. Wesley Schawe as Celebrants.

Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from Noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials be given to Russell Child Development Center or to St. Dominic Catholic Church, both in care of the funeral home.
