Obituary for Sharon Sue Brown Garden City- Sharon Sue Brown, 76, died on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. She was born on August 22, 1942 at Centralia, Illinois the daughter of Huston Edwards and Veda B. Edwards Stepp. Sharon lived her early life in Garden City and worked for the Crist family.

She lived in several places before moving to Larned where she was an Administrative Assistant at the Larned Correctional Mental Facility. After retiring she moved back to Garden City in 2013. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time at home, catching up with family and friends on the phone and going out to eat with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister & Brother-In-Law- Eva Frances and Jesse Riveria and infant Brother- William H. Edwards. She is survived by her Son-Jerry (Lisa) Brown of Johnston, Colorado, Daughter- Kim (Kyle) Lightner of Garden City, 8 Grandchildren- Ashley (Ranlett) Chee, Alexandra (Benjamin) Miller, Monica (Mat) Kline, Marissa Torrez, Damon Torrez, Audrey (Drake) Bradshaw, Sarah Lightner & Derek Lightner and 9 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Chaplain Jeff Crist officiating.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt. Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.
