Obituary for Loretta S. Schultz Print Loretta S. Schultz, 59, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at The Cottages in Garden City, Kansas. She was born July 21, 1959 in Oxford, Nebraska the daughter of Vernon & Betty (Pettite) Bienhoff. Loretta was raised on a small farm in rural Nebraska.

She earned her BA degree in Accounting from the University of Ottawa and later earned her Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas. On July 12, 1980, Loretta married Gerald O. Schultz in Oxford, Nebraska. They moved to Garden City in 1984 and have lived in Garden City since.

Loretta worked as a CPA for Lewis, Hooper & Dick in Garden City for many years and retired in 1999. She enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her husband Gerald Schultz of the home; four children Zachary & wife Ashley Schultz, Logan & wife Margaret Schultz, Connor Schultz, & Hannah Schultz all of Garden City; three brothers David Bienhoff of Ottawa, Kansas, Dallas Bienhoff of Annendale, Virginia, & Bruce Bienhoff of Shawnee, Kansas; and four grandchildren Grant Schultz, Quentin Schultz, Elijah Reyes, & Maverick Schultz.

Loretta is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Neil Bienhoff and Marlin Bienhoff. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garden City with Rev. Michael Hageman officiating.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no burial following the service and no calling hours. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be given to Trinity Lutheran Church Endowment Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
