Obituary for Mrs. Rosa Reeves Christian Mrs. Rosa Reeves Christian, 77, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Nancy Hart Nursing Home. A native of Elberton, Rosa was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Seymour Reeves. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin G. Christian, and her sister, Patsy Reeves Griffith.

Rosa worked as a secretary for Elberton Mills, then later as a dental assistant at Dr. Joe Campbell’s office. She also owned and operated The Hot Spot on the Elberton Square for several years. Rosa was a faithful member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church.

Rosa is survived by her daughter, Mandy Madden (Keith); and three sons: Rod Christian (Kaye), Gordon “Bubba” Christian (Wanda), and J. Derrick Christian, all of Elberton. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Christian’s life was held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev.

Ken Wright officiating. A time of visitation began at 10:00 a.m. just prior to the service. The family received friends at the home of Keith and Mandy Madden at 2253 Hudson Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
