Rosalee A. Peterson, 88, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on May 31, 2018 following complications of a stroke. She was born on April 1, 1930, in Clay County, Indiana the daughter of Burton and Bertha (Chapman) Miller. Rose graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1949.

She married John James Peterson Jr. on May 26, 1949. Together they raised 5 children. Rose worked for Windbreaker and at Watler and Sons as a Graphic Designer.

Rose enjoyed being a part of plays at… Read More » the Community Theatre, singing in the choir at church and especially traveling. Rose was a talented artist who was accomplished with charcoal, pencil sketching and oil painting. She loved taking care of her family, cooking, and baking.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents Burton and Bertha Miller; her husband John Peterson Jr.; her siblings: Burton Miller, Jayne Miller, Howard Miller, Mark Miller, Phillip Miller, and Bernar Miller. Survivors include her 5 children: James Peterson (Barbara), Jeri Bonomo (Daniel), John Peterson (Phyllis), Jan Rowe (Thomas), and Jill Watler (Steven) all of Clay County; grandchildren: Erik Peterson (Krista), Gretchen Kalhust (Eric), Nicholas Bonomo (Mica), April Bonomo, Amy Peterson, DeAnna Easton (Brian), Chelsie Rowe, Michael Watler, and Amanda Watler; 13 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be held at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave.

Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4-7pm. Services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00pm with Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clay County Community Theatre 8 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834 or Shriners Hospitals for Children (St. Louis Hospital) 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607. Visit www. frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in her memory.
