Obituary for Rosalia DiBartolo Rosalia DiBartolo, 92, of Pleasantville, born April 15, 1926 died peacefully at Villa Raffaella Assisted Living on June 17, 2018. She was born in Gagliano Castelferrato, Sicily and moved to American in 1956, settling down in Newark, NJ. Rose was a Cresco, PA resident for over 40 years and moved to South Jersey in 2016.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Giuseppe DiBartolo of 71 years and her daughter-in-law Doris DiBartolo. Our mother made sure that her family all had a break in life by coming to America and starting a new life. She always gave of herself to friends and family alike.

She worked in sweat shops all her life so that her family could have what she did not have. Most of the time she walked to work rather than take a bus so she could save money for her family. She helped people buy their first home and made sure that all would prosper in America.

She loved everybody. Our mother was happiest in the kitchen, cooking up her favorite Italian dishes. She enjoyed gardening with her husband, crocheting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Anthony DiBartolo of Cresco, PA and Vincent (Elaina) DiBartolo of Galloway, NJ. Rose is also survived by her grandchildren: Gina DiBartolo of Hawthorne, NJ, Michael (Kristine) DiBartolo of Wasilla, AK, Nicole (Justin) Mahe of Tallahassee, FL, Christina DiBartolo of Galloway, NJ, and her great-grandchild, Sofia DiBartolo. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 4-6 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 6 PM.

Rose will be taken to her final resting place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hanover, NJ on Friday, June 22nd with committal services at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those who desire to send memorial contributions should do so to Villa Raffaella Assisted Living, who lovingly took care of our Mother during her time there and in her final days.
