Rose Henry, age 92 of Grand Haven, passed away Saturday May 4, 2019 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born May 14, 1926 in Grand Haven to Jerry and Violet (Rezny) Benes. She attended Grand Haven High School and had worked for a time as a Car Hop waitress on roller skates.

She married Floyd Henry in January of 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1996. Rose enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, gardening, and playing bingo with her friends. Rose is survived by her daughter, Tina Henry of Eaton Rapids; and her brother, Chuck (Phyllis) Benes of Grand Haven; sisters-in-law, Nancy Benes and Betty Rezny; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Henry and Floyd Henry; and siblings, Anna Widing, Marie Goresh, and John, Bob, and George Benes. The Funeral service for Rose will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Steele of Watermark Church officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, May 6, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Mona View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
