Rose’s Obituary Rose E. Simmons passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Rahway. She was 82 years old. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Woodbridge for most of her life.

Mrs. Simmons was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge where she taught Sunday school many years ago. She was employed in the customer service department at Bankers Savings before retiring. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Simmons, in 1996; parents, Harry and Florence Gilbert Soloway; sister, Edna Litavec; and brothers, Robert V. Soloway and Harry E. Soloway.

Surviving are her son, Paul Simmons, of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Paul E. Simmons II, James E. Simmons, Thomas E. Simmons and Sheila Riehle; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Amber, Paul and James Patrick. Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 15, 2019 11:00 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.

Visiting hours will be on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
