Obituary for ROSE GROSS Rose Gross, 96, of Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery Chapel, 1901 Blue Ridge Blvd. , Independence, MO 64052.

Burial to follow at KI Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests contributions to Kehilath Israel Synagogue, the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education or Jewish Family Services.

Rose was born March 19, 1922 in Czenstochowa, Poland to the late Abram and Malka (Dluznowska) Joskowicz. She was a survivor of the Holocaust. Rose immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1949.

She and her husband lived in Chicago for one year before moving to Kansas City where she turned her focus to her home and family. Rose was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with them.

She was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue and the New Americans Club. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Ben Gross. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Fran and David Kanter and Beverly and Joel Levine; grandchildren: Jeff (Krista) Super, Craig (Candice) Super, Michelle Levine, Marc (Luba) Levine; great-grandchildren: Leah, Binah, Nick, Brooke, Caleb, Caley and many nephews and nieces.
