Obituary for Rose Mary Brennan Rose Mary Brennan, 90, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Masonic Care Community with family at her side. She was born October 26, 1927, in Utica, the daughter of Edward and Loretta (Hennessey) Nolan. Rose was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy in 1945.

On June 16, 1951 she married Stephen W. Brennan, Jr., a marriage of 46 years prior to his passing on January 1, 1997. She enjoyed her childhood summers at Lake Moraine and summers with her children and grandchildren at Kayuta Lake with lots of swimming and fond memories of days on the porch. Rose is survived by her children, Michael (Robin) Brennan, Utica, James (Denise) Brennan, Camillus, Mary (Alvin) Benn, Oriskany, Catherine Brennan, New Hartford, Thomas (Juli) Brennan, Denver, CO, Patricia (Jon) Kalet, Syracuse, Jean (Peter) Bond, Florence, MA, and Laura (Caz) Krauza, Utica; sister, Maria Prendergast, Niskayuna; sister-in-law, Claire Nolan, Albany; grandchildren, Jenny, Shaun, Caitlin, Emily, Joseph, Ashley, Sara, Megan, Matthew, Hannah, Jon, Timothy, Jeffrey, Molly and Casimir and great grandchildren, Tyler, Leah, Shaun, Emma, Thomas, Mason, Weston, Elize, Brennan, Dawson and Ryder.

She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; sister, Catherine McEvoy; brother-in-law, Robert McEvoy; brother, Dr. Edward P. Nolan; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Brennan; sister-in-law, Margaret Brennan; sister-in-law, Harriet Boehlert and brother-in-law, Robert Boehlert. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd.

, Utica. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home and 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Rose’s name may be made to Thea Bowman House or the Masonic Care Community Employee Assistance Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Rose’s family thanks the dedicated staff of the Albany Unit at the Masonic Care Community for their loving attention and compassion.
