Rose Mary was born on December 12, 1932, in Pine City, MN to Frank and Elva (Whiting) Schneider. She grew up in Finlayson and attended school there, graduating in 1950.

Rose Mary married Fred Christopherson on December 23, 1950, they moved to Minneapolis where they lived from 1951 to 1962, and later lived in Fridley, MN from 1962 to 1972. In 1972, they moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois, when Fred had a job transfer, and Rose Mary worked at Autotrol Corp. until 1990 when they moved to Finlayson, MN.

She worked part time at Chris’ Fairway in Sandstone, and was active in various women’s groups through Peace Lutheran Church in Finlayson from 1990 to 2007. Rose Mary loved doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and especially loved playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Fred, parents Frank and Elva, brothers Lesley and Robert, sisters Evelyn (Schneider) Erickson, Elizabeth (Schneider) Jenrich as well as brothers and sisters in law.

Rose Mary is survived by her children Kim Christopherson, Lori Butler, Joe (Melissa) Christopherson, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Lynda Bothun, brother-in-law Arnold Christopherson, sisters-in-law Naomi (Floyd) Christopherson, Ann (Robert) Schneider, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service 1:00pm Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church, Finlayson, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior to services at church. Burial at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Finlayson, MN.
