Rose Mary Jones of Columbia, Tennessee August 20, 1957 – May 12, 2019 Rose Mary Jones, age 61, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A Celebration of Life for Rose Mary will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 18 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Alvin Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.

Born August 20, 1957 in Wisner, LA, and growing up in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Grady Briggs and Muryel Lee Murry and wife of Richard Jones of Columbia. She worked as an Op Tech team leader for GM, a member of the U.A.W. and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, taking pictures and was a great party planner.

Her family was important to her, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by her wonderful children: Richard Jones, Jr., Keenan Jones and Karsonya Jones, all of Columbia; sisters: Shrinda Murry of Columbia, Pat White and Brenda White, both of Louisiana; brothers: John Murry of Saginaw, MI and Johnnie Ray Murry of Columbia; six precious grandchildren: Ahmon Lashley-Jones, Taliyah Lashley-Jones, Sheldon Miller, Kiya Jones, Sanye Miller and Messiah Jones; special niece: Amin Murry; her two best friends: Helen Carter and Regina Johnson. She was preceded in death by a brother: Willie Lee Murry.
