Rosemary Sis Madeline Angelo , April 30, 1932 — May 27, 2018

HUBBARD A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating for Rosemary “Sis” Angelo, 86, who died Sunday morning May 27, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born April 30, 1932 in Hubbard, a daughter of Henry and Rose M. Bubna Madeline and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Sis was a 1950 graduate of Hubbard High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Youngstown State University. She was an elementary school teacher at St. Joseph the Provider in Campbell for over 30 years. Sis was an active member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard, having been a member of its Altar and Rosary Society, working the festivals and was a money counter.

She was a supporter of St. Joseph the Provider School in Youngstown and was a former piroghi lady at St. Joe’s in Campbell. Sis logged over 8000 volunteer hours at St. Elizabeth Hospital crocheting hats and blankets for newborns, was a longtime member of the Booster Club of Ursuline and was a member of several local senior citizens groups. She was an avid bowler and golfer, having won many tournaments in her life, was a huge Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan and enjoyed going to casinos and loved playing the slots.

Her husband Walter D. Angelo, whom she married April 24, 1954, died March 15, 1994. She leaves three sons, Michael J. Angelo and David J. (Stephanie) Angelo, both of Phoenix, AZ and Walter “Wally” J. (Karen) Angelo of Hubbard; a brother, John J. (Debbi) Madeline of Hubbard; 5 grandchildren, Michael P. (Rebecca), Kristen (Angela), Marcy (Josh Chaney), Courtney and Alaria and one great grandson, Anthony. Sis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter and 2 brothers, Sam and Ed Madeline.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning May 30, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
