Mrs. Rosetta Taylor Mason, 91, wife of the late Carl Eugene Mason and a resident of Heritage Hall Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Fox Grove, VA, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Born July 13, 1927 in Mears, VA, she was a daughter of the late Waldon Taylor and Addie Martin Taylor. Rosetta was a graduate of Bloxom High School and a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife and mother who happily devoted her life to caring for her family. Rosetta enjoyed cooking, and nothing brought her more joy than preparing big dinners for loved ones. Survivors include her two sons, Donald Carl Mason and wife Andrea, and Michael Douglas Mason and wife Debbie, all of Fox Grove; sister, Betty Ann Keisel of Onancock, VA; brother, Larry Taylor of Mappsville, VA; granddaughter, Jessica Lee Pawin and husband Chuck, and their daughter, Layla; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Wayne Hart officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502 or online at www. alz.org.
