Roy Andrew Standridge of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born to Houston and Edna (Cunningham) Standridge on September 16, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and passed from this life on April 7, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years. Roy was raised in Amber, Oklahoma. He moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma his freshman year of high school, graduating in 1963.

He attended Oklahoma State University where he completed flight training school. He was owner/operator of River Steel and former John Deere dealer. On January 30, 1965, Roy married Cynthia (Cindy) Gruber in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

In his spare time, Roy enjoyed woodworking, motor homing, chasing after and attending his grandkids events. He was past President of Lindsay J.C.S., and Lindsay School Board, Rotary Club Member, Sunday School Superintendent, Media Coordinator and Trustee of First Baptist Church of Lindsay, and Board member of First United Bank of Pauls Valley. Mr. Standridge is survived by: His wife: Cindy of the home Sons: Scott Standridge and wife Shanna of Gillham, Arkansas Jay Standridge and wife Anna of Lindsay, Oklahoma Lee Standridge and wife Ashley of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania Jason Gruber and wife April of Moore, Oklahoma Brother: Jerry Standridge and wife Wanda of Amber, Oklahoma Sister: Charlotte McDowell of Mustang, Oklahoma 10 grandchildren: Allie, Jake, Rex, Garet, Ryan, Tate, Rhet, Knox, Kade Standridge and Colton Gruber Mr. Standridge was preceded in death by: Parents: Houston and Edna Standridge Brother: Jim Standridge Brother in Law: Raymond McDowell Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with nephew Rev.

Tim Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
