Roy Collier, Sr. Belton Roy Collier, Sr., 83, husband of Carolyn Grant Collier, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in East Stone Gap, VA, he was the son of the late Edd and Georgia Mildred Gilly Collier. He served in the US Air Force including 3 tours in Vietnam and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Men’s #1 Sunday school class.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: son, Roy Collier, Jr. (Trisha) of Fortson, GA; daughter, Debra C Bryant (Glen) of Fortson, GA; brothers, Bill Collier of TX and Sylvan Collier (Sue) of VA; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Alexander Bryant; honorary grandchildren, Parker, Makenzie and Madison Frost. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Howard and Paul Collier; sister, Jackie Smyth. Service will be held 2pm Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Tim Edmonds and Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 12pm until 1:45pm at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family will be at their respective homes.
