Roy’s Obituary Roy Lee Reed was born on July 22, 1943 in Okolona, Arkansas to Elroy Reed and Minnie Ola Brooks. He accepted Christ at a young age and was a life long member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Roy was a 1962 graduate of Simmons High School.

He married Catherine Whitfield on January 23, 1965 at to this union two children were born. He was a hard worker and made many sacrifices to take care of his family. He started with Firestone on September 22, 1993 and retired in August of 2006.

Roy enjoyed moments with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and living a simple life. He passed into the Lord’s embrace on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elroy Reed; his grandson, Daniel Tolliver; his brother, Jerry “Pluke” Furlow and a niece, Shanika R. Martin and great-nephew, Darius Martin. His memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved mother, Minnie Ola Furlow; his wife, Catherine Reed; his children, Malissia Tolliver (Winston) and Angela Warren (Derek); a goddaughter, Sandra Jones; grandchildren, MaKayla Tolliver, Kaleb Tolliver, Keena Tolliver and Darian Warren; his sisters, Maude (Ralph) Nelson, Mary (Rickey) Penny and Janice Snowden; sisters-in-law, Sally Williams (Roosevelt) and Mildred Payne. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
