Roy Turney Fowler, 87, of Hillsboro, TX passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 25, 2019. Roy was the son of Samuel Joseph Fowler and Helen Esther (Wyatt) and was born in Sanco, TX. Roy married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Ann (Gartman) Fowler in Rockwall, Texas on June 21, 1952.

They celebrated over sixty-six years of marriage. They also celebrated the life of their two children Sherry and Karen. Roy was employed by the Federal Government for over 38 years in the Southwest region and retired from the Air Traffic Control Center in Euless.

After retirement from the FAA he travelled as a contract consultant for Raytheon with his wife Mary, and often their grandchildren whom he loved and cherished. Roy also served his country, post the Korean War in the Air Force and was stationed around Southeast Asia. He loved the outdoors, living on Lake Alvarado.

His wife, Mary jokes that he taught almost everyone in Alvarado how to waterski. Mr. Fowler is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Helen Fowler, brother, Charles Fowler, and sister Sammie Joe Baker. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Ann, Daughters Karen Lea Fowler and Sherry Lynn Kuykendall and husband Randy, grandchildren; Dagan Wayne Kuykendall, Morgan Elizabeth De La Garza and husband Guillero; great grandchildren Isabella Mina De La Garza, Isaiah Guillermo De La Garza and expectant Ivy De La Garza.

Roy will be interred at a later date at the National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
