Ruby Catherine Dowell, age 88, of Stinnettsville, Ky died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Garfield, Ky on May 26, 1930, the daughter of the late Philip and Bevia Skaggs Webb. Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, quilting and crocheting.

She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Harold Dowell, her brothers: Robert Lee Webb, Leonard Webb, Floyd Webb, Arvin Webb, Willard Webb and Harold Webb; a sister, Irene Henninger. She is survived by 1 son: Barry Dowell (Barbara) of Harned, Ky, 3 daughters: Bevia Ann Sanders (Kent) of Hardinsburg, Ky, Karen Dowell of Irvington, Ky, Pam Skillman (Bob) of Raleigh, NC, 7 Grandchildren & 14 Great-Grandchildren Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4-8 PM (central time) with funeral services to be held at 12:00 PM (central time) on Friday, December 1, 2018 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, Ky.
