OBITUARY Ruby F. Prata January 27, 1948 – January 10, 2019 In memory of Ruby F. Prata, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully of natural causes at home on January 10th, 2019. She was born in Marburg, W. Germany on January 27th, 1948 to Master Sgt. John and Gertrude Teasley.

Ruby spent her early years a as soldier’s daughter and later years as an Army wife. She was a true patriot and loved her country and those who serve. She developed and taught a German language and customs curriculum for soldiers in Hohenfels and Hanau, Germany in the 1970’s and 80’s.

Her intelligence, wit and spirit was infectious with a wonderful sense of humor and easy laugh. Ruby loved life, people, her pets and is missed by her surviving husband, Michael; family and friends. Ruby’s final wish was to be cremated and interred in Marburg, Germany.

No flowers, please, but memorial contributions in Ruby’s name are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project or a similar charity, would be greatly appreciated. (Services are pending. Updated service information will be added).
