Ruby’s Obituary Ruby Irene Hollenbeck, 82 of Kirksville passed away Thursday (February 7, 2019) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center. Ruby was born in Kirksville on December 5, 1936 to Saul and Birdie (Adams) Parks. On July 27, 1957 Ruby was united in marriage to Ferris W. Hollenbeck who preceded her in death on July 19, 2010.

Also preceding Ruby in death are her parents; brother, Leon Parks and his wife Bonnie; brother-in-law, Dallas McGrath; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roe and Marjorie Hollenbeck. Ruby is survived by her sons, Ferrill and wife Angelia Hollenbeck and Clifford and wife Margaret Hollenbeck; four grandsons, Jarrod Hollenbeck, Ryan Hollenbeck, Aaron Hollenbeck and Hayden Hollenbeck; five granddaughters, Charity Hall, Racheal Hollenbeck, Sierra Eskra, Chessi Treat and Sophie Hollenbeck; five great grandsons and six great granddaughters. Ruby is also survived by her sister, Wanda McGrath; three nephews and one niece.

Ruby received her education at Mt. Zion Bible School. She worked retail for many years.

She enjoyed bowling and going to country music shows with her husband. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday (February 10, 2019) with funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hills Cemetery.

Memorials in memory of Ruby are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association.
