Russell H. Spring (Russ) 62, formerly of McConnelsville and Zanesville passed away January 9, 2019. Born July 7, 1956 in Zanesville to the late Herman and Ruby (Trout) Spring. He was a graduate of Morgan High School in 1974.

He attended OU-Zanesville and graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1986 as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. After graduating he worked with Joe Lanning at DeLong-Baker and Lanning Funeral Home, later he worked for several years in Cincinnati at Vorhis Funeral Home in several locations. He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. (Dille) Spring whom he married June 2, 1988, his children, Carissa (Brandon) Atwood of Norwood Ohio, Travis Spring(Beije Escalante) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Rebecca (Ken) Lynch of Mason, Ohio, Matthew (Madison) Spring of Fort Worth, Texas and Amanda (Troy) Barr of Grove City, Ohio.

Russ was also a proud grandpa to Aaron and Eden Atwood, Everly and Ruby Lynch, (Ruby was named after her great grandma Spring) Owen Barr and Kynlee Spring. Also surviving are his siblings, Roger (Debby) Spring of Groveport, Ohio, Linda (Jim) Fryman of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Renita (Michael) Tackett of Pikeville, Kentucky and Carol (David) Mabon of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Russ also has many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Eva (Newsom) Spring, Ralph and Carla (Wiseman) Trout and a special friend, Clark McLaughlin and several aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be held at the DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home at 56 South 5th Street Zanesville, Ohio from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday January 14, 2019, where services will take place at 12:00 PM with Michael Tackett officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association in Memory of Wanda Dille (deceased mother in law).
