Ruth Ann Ptomey 73 of Columbus, formerly of Lockbourne, passed away Sunday , Jan. 27, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born Aug.

2, 1945 in Huntington, WV to the late Edwin and Mary Ellen (Goodwin) Houseman. Ruth Ann retired after 17 years for McGraw Hill in Gahanna and had attended Heritage church of Christ in Ashville. Preceded in death by husband, Richard in 2016, parents, and brother Don Houseman .

Survived by daughters, Cheryl (David) Lasseter of Chesapeake, VA, Pamela (Steve) Channel of Newark, and Kristine (Sam) Clanin of Columbus; grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Brittany, Sarah, Alexia (Kent), Jon, Mahala, Ava, Drew (Brittany) , Cody, Hunter, Trenton, Owen, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Joshua, Kenleigh, Emmett, Asher, Tenley, Liam, Ethan and Joey; sister-in-law, Marlene Houseman of PA; cousins, Ann and Roger Cox of Baltimore, OH; very dear friend, LeaAnn and Robert Hood of Ashville. A Memorial Service will be held on at 6:00 p.m. Thurs. Jan.

31, 2019 in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with David Lasseter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thurs. For those who wish contributions in Ruth Ann’s name, may be made to Pickaway County Animal Shelter, 21253 Ringgold Southern Rd.
