Rochester – Ruth-Ann Pender, 64, of Rochester, formerly of Hampton and Amesbury, MA died suddenly February 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Amesbury, January 22, 1955 a daughter of the late Robert and Jacqueline (Valley) Pender. Ruth was raised in Amesbury and graduated from Amesbury High School.

She was employed by Port Healthcare in Newburyport, MA as a certified nursing assistant and later as the activities coordinator. She loved spending time at her family farm “ Pender Farm” in Amesbury, taking day trip adventures for a ride to nowhere with her children, painting and drawing, gardening and flowers and was an avid NE Patriots fan. She leaves three children, Jason Terry, Peter Terry and his wife Deanna all of Rochester, Jenna Lasala and her husband Tristen of West Newbury, MA, six grandchildren, Briana Terry, Jason “JJ” Terry, Jr., Tristen Lasala, Jr., Nikolas, Chase and Logan Lasala, one great grandson, Christopher Hernandez, her brother, Mark Pender of Amesbury, her sister, Nancy Dixon of Center Conway, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Bruce Pender. A celebration of life will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the West Newbury Town Annex, 381 West Main Street, West Newbury, MA with a reception to follow. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
