Ruth Hubbard Riddle Childersburg, AL – Funeral service for Ruth Hubbard Riddle, 87, will be Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Childersburg with Rev. Ron Partain officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.

Mrs. Riddle died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Howard D. Riddle; parents, Raymond Walker and Katie Lee Hubbard; brother, William Hubbard; brother, Joseph Hubbard; sister, Lucille H. Bow; sister, Margaret H. Owens; and sister, Catherine H. Wilkerson. She was a member the First Baptist Church of Childersburg for over 70 years.

She was a longtime member of the choir, served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was a member of the XYZ Club. Mrs. Riddle was a graduate of Childersburg High School. She worked at the First National Bank for 27 years and was a member of the Childersburg Garden Club.

Her life revolved around her family and church. She was a very hospitable person who loved entertaining her guests. Mrs. Riddle is survived by her two sons, Michael D. (Margaret) Riddle and Larry E. (Jennifer) Riddle; sister, Mary H. Wright; four grandchildren, Andy Riddle, Katy Riddle Golden, Ashley Riddle Williams, and Athena Collins; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Childersburg. The family would like to send a special thanks to the American Hospice Group for their love and care over the last 2 years. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Childersburg.
