Obituary for Ruth Vaughn Ruth Irene Vaughn, 95, Independence, MO passed away April 20, 2018. Visitation will be 5:30 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 24 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. , Independence, MO 64052.

. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Wed. at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, MO.

Ruth was born April 25, 1922 in Clay Center, KS and graduated from Bolivar High School. She was an inspector for Western Electric in Lee’s Summit, MO for many years. She was a Life Member of The Order of the Eastern Star Blue Springs Charter #928 and volunteered at Children’s Mercy Hospital.

She loved to make quilts, centerpieces, pot holders and placemats. Ruth was preceded in death by husband Albert Eugene (Bert) Vaughn, her parents, two brothers and a granddaughter. She is survived by son Richard Eugene Vaughn and wife Billie; daughter Sharon Ann Tootle and husband Bob; son Donald Lee Vaughn; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
