Rut Ern Pussehl , October 24, 1926 — December 09, 2018

Ruth Erna Pussehl Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Barton Woods, Freeland, Michigan. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Erna K. (Winterstein) Pussehl and J. Walter Pussehl was born October 5, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She was baptized, October 24, 1926 by Pastor A.F. Westendorf at home. She attended Kindergarten thru 8th grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School and High School at Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Graduating in the Class of 1944. Ruth was employed by Morley Brothers from June 1944 to June 1962 and then as a Legal Secretary from 1962 to 1988.

She became a Charter Member of Gethsemane on November 3, 1959 and served as Choir Director and Organist for 43 ½ years. Surviving are two nephews, a niece; Michael and Carla Pussehl; Matthew and Linda Pussehl; Marcey and James Glefke; a niece-in-law, Sandy and Dave Dunning; her great nieces and great nephews, Laurie Fiebelkorn and Jason; Josh Pussehl; Leanne Pussehl and Ryan; Lyndsey Pussehl and Zack; Craig and Kristi Pussehl; Amanda and Aaron Farrell; Nathan Glefke; Brandon and Kara Glefke; James Glefke Jr. and Kate; Katie Glefke and Michael; her great nieces and great nephews, Mya, Erika, Joshua, Katherine, Emma, Owen, Ryan Jr, Lilah, Hayden, Quinn, Addison, Isaiah, Madelyn, Rylee and Mason; many friends and her special friends, Janet and Marge. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by a brother, Albert Walter Pussehl, September 10, 1978, a sister-in-law, Shirley Schroeder Pussehl, February 28, 1991 and nieces, Deborah and Michelle, nephew, Mark, and great nephew, Mark II.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3412 Crestmont Dr. Saginaw. Rev. Michael Wilke will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. From 2:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the church form 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
