Sallie (Winn Cay) Ford Fiore (91) went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jun 7, 2018. She was born Nov 24, 1926 to the late John David Cay Jr and Ella Renault Cay in Jacksonville FL. She grew up in Jacksonville, graduating from Robert E Lee, in 1944.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grand & great grandmother. A business woman, and a very talented artist (numerous canvas paintings, seamstress, cook, decorating her home), she spoke her mind, loved her family and was very generous– a true Proverbs 31:13 woman. Mom lived an active long life with her early days growing up in Riverside, married at 20 years old to Eugene Lee Ford Jr for 44 years until his passing in 1991.

They lived for two years in the territory of Hawaii, returning home to Jacksonville in 1954, starting a career in banking, which culminated as Vice President of a Florida National Bank. She retired with her husband to Scaly NC near Highlands from 1980 until 1991, where she started painting, art work and various handmade items with her husband. After his death she returned to Florida to self-contract her home in Florence Cove, St Johns County.

She later married Elmer C Fiore in 1999 until his death in 2015. They traveled, continued her art work and created a beautiful river front garden and home during this period. Sallie is survived by her, son Lee Ford (Barbara), daughter Susan F Cook (Bill) Grandchildren include Christopher Ford (Suzanne) Aaron Ford (Melissa), Jennifer Wick (Jeff), Rebecca Ford, Joshua Ford, Katie Holling (Marcus) Travis Hosch.

She loved her 8 great grandchildren, Jacob Ford, Abel Ford, Julianna Wick, Ella Holling, Olivia Holling, Jett Holling, Hudson Hosch, and Hayes Hosch. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Chapel at Jacksonville Memory Gardens with Pastor Len Showalter performing the memorial. Interment will follow on the grounds.

Visitation will be from12-1 PM at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
