Obituary for Sandra Jean Idock Sandra J. Idock, age 80, of Andover, Ohio, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Leslie I. and Clara (Scrieber) Cahill. Formerly of Jefferson, Sandra has lived in Andover at Holiday Camplands since 1986.
She was a 1956 graduate of Mentor High School. Sandra was employed as a real estate agent for Spieth Realty in Andover; was employed by Dr. Campbell of Jefferson; and Dr. Ramachandran of Ashtabula. She attended the Dorset Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included reading, gardening and playing sudoku puzzles. She enjoyed taking pictures and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Sandra married Raymond Idock on May 27, 1995, and he preceded her in death in 2006.
She is also preceded by her parents; son, Daniel L. Barker; one sister, Barbara Cahill and three brothers, Kenneth, Thomas, and James Cahill. She is survived by four daughters, Linda D. (Russell) Cartner of North Kingsville, Ohio, Diane L. (Robert) Wilt of Ashtabula, Ohio, Ruth A. (Steven) Keep of Dorset, Ohio, and Kathryn F. (Stephen Fischer) McMannes of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, John Mark L. Barker of Andover, Ohio; one step daughter, Susan L. (Michael) Herrold of Brookpark, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Jenna, Amanda, Taylor, Mallorie, Victoria, Kenneth, Kevin, Jonathan, Bill, Tim, Tommy, Jon, and Geary; fourteen great grandchildren; and five sisters, Lillian R. Stopar of Madison, Ohio, Kathleen D. Morrell of Garland, Texas, Judy F. Gelvick of Great Falls, Montana, Paula E. Pember of Franklin, Indiana, and Corrine G. Whitfield of Arkansas. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Noon, at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 11th from 10:00am until the time of services. Graveside commital will be at 2:30PM at Mentor Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave.
