Obituary for Harold Gordon Dillon, Sr. Andover, Ohio – Harold Gordon Dillon, Sr., age 89, died on Friday, October 5, 2018. He was born on June 11, 1929 in Wayne, Ohio, a son of Florence (Nims) and Henry Garfield Dillon. Harold was a lifelong area resident and a 1947 graduate of Williamsfield High School.

He was a dairy farmer as well as working at the former Diamond Shamrock of Ashtabula and most recently being a driver for local Amish families. Harold was a member of the Kelloggsville Nazarene Church of Conneaut, Ohio where he participated in twenty Work & Witness mission trips. On April 24, 1976 he married Carol Louise (Betts).

He enjoyed hunting with his sons and friends. As an avid sports fan he followed The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son Kevin A. Slusher.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Carol L. Dillon of Andover, Ohio; five children, Brenda A. (Francis) Kohrman of Andover, Ohio, Harold G. “Butch” (Julie) Dillon, Jr. of Cortland, Ohio, Gary T. Dillon of Andover, Ohio, Beth E. (John) Stefura of Cortland, Ohio and Sara J. (Jim) Denzak of Pittsford, New York; step-son, Kent E. (Linda Baynor) Slusher of Suffolk, Virginia; a step-daughter, Kim L. LaRusch of Cherry Valley, Ohio; four brothers, Kirt E. Dillon of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Ed Dillon of San Antonio, Texas, Keith (Sandi) Dillon of Williamsfield, ohio and Kaye Dillon of Warren, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Tracy Slusher of Jefferson, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery of Wayne, Ohio.
