Obituary for Sandra “Polly” Hess Fiorello Sandra “Polly” Hess Fiorello, 83, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at The Bristol of Tampa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was born on March 14, 1935 in Sabinsville, Pennsylvania to Walter Elwood and Eleanor Maree (King) Griffin. Polly was a 1953 graduate of Batavia High School in Batavia, New York, moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 2002 from Liverpool, New York and was an active member of the Christ Community Church in Winter Haven, Florida.

In her young adult years, she opened her own Beauty Shop in Little Valley, New York & then in Middletown, New York, later she worked at the Bonanza Restaurant as a waitress and bartender in Liverpool, New York and later in life she was employed for 20 years by UniFirst Corp as an accounts receivable. Her last job that she greatly enjoyed for several years was at Lakeside Ranch in the office. Polly was a classy lady and her look was always “on point” with makeup, hair, and nails done by her.

She loved to keep her house clean and organized. Polly enjoyed socializing and golfing very much, with the accomplishment of a hole in one. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and touted their accomplishments.

She will be remembered for her hard work and will be missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Donald Hess and Joseph Fiorello. She is survived by her son Dean and wife, Cheryl Cavanaugh of Plant City, Florida; daughter, Wendy Marani and husband, Daniel of Lake Wales, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly and husband, Fabian Castro and Daniel Marani; great grandchildren, Alex, Kaitlyn, Jeremy, Mark and Margaret-Mary; and one great-great grandchild on the way, who will be named Amelia.
