Sandra S. Walker 69, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was born February 3, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Marie Lucas Smith.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ronnie Walker, son Shannon Walker and wife Sabrina, grandchildren, Sophia and Skyler Walker. She retired from Pelion High School after 33 years of service as Executive Secretary and Bookkeeper. She was an honorary member of the Pelion High School FFA and was inducted into the Pelion High School Hall of Fame in 2009.

She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served as Church Treasurer. She enjoyed fishing at Santee, traveling with friends, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelion. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ira Berry, Teddy Derrick, John Gregg, Gene Lucas, Robbie Rabon, and Steve Shumpert.

Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 126 Pelion, SC 29123. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Madden and Lexington Oncology for the care they have shown her over the years.
