Obituary for Sara S. Moore Sara S. Moore Augusta, GA – Mrs. Sara S. Moore (Nana), 99 years of age, entered into rest Thursday, July 12, 2018. Mrs. Moore was born in Fulton County, GA in 1919 and moved to Whitesburg, GA with her family as a young girl. She was the daughter of the late Ethel McLeod Silvey and Thomas Grady Silvey.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William G. “Bill” Moore; sisters, JoAnne Wagner, Becky Simpson, Marie Bonner LaCount; and brother, Thomas A. Silvey. Nana moved to Augusta, GA six years ago to be near her daughter. Nana is survived by two children: Robert G. (Donna) Moore of Acworth; and Sylvia M. Cheek (Joseph) of Augusta.

She loved her family dearly and was extremely happy when she was with her grandchildren, Steven G. (Sabra) Broome of Carrolton, Carrington (Ritchie) Spivey of Covington, Kathy (Shawn) Murray of Marietta and John (Sasha) Moore of Acworth. Nana found the ultimate joy in life when she could be with her great grandchildren, Morgan and Zach Spivey of Covington, Jackson and Evan Broome of Carrollton, Brooke Murray and William Dean of Marietta. She was also survived by her loving sister-in-law, Judy Silvey and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Whitesburg Cemetery on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. officiated by the Rev. Jim Hearn. Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd.
