OBITUARY Sarah Elizabeth Ian Bate February 12, 1963 – July 24, 2018 Sarah Elizabeth Ian Bate, 55, of Louisville Kentucky passed away July 24, 2018 at Norton Women and Children’s hospital with her family by her side. Sarah was born in Akron Ohio February 12, 1963. Sarah loved and adored her husband and daughter as well as her extended family.

She found joy in doing for others with her sense of loyalty and humor. Her presence in a room created a party. Sarah will be remembered for her love of animals and her devotion to her family and friends.

She love working with children in her capacity as an assistant teacher in the JSPC system. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and left their lives fuller and richer having known her. Sarah was and always will be JOY!

Her beloved stepbrother, Christopher Stuart, precedes Sarah in death. Left to cherish her memory is her husband James Bate, daughter, Taylor Slone; parents, Charles and Faith Stuart of Capon Bridge, WV. , sister, Valerie Haynes of Capon Bridge, WV, brother, H. Lee Haynes of Raleigh, NC.

, two step brothers, John D. Stuart and Andrew Charles Stuart. She is also survived by, Paul, Betty and Jason Shreve, Barbara Peake, Lisa Slone, Kendra Slone, Emily Slone, all of Louisville, Kentucky. Jared McDonald and Shawn McDonald of Clarke County VA.

, M. Robert and Elizabeth Newton of Beaufort, SC. , and a host of many other family members and friends that loved her dearly. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sarah will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home.

8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219 with a memorial visitation to follow from 11am-2pm at the funeral home. Expression of sympathy may be made to the Animal Care Society-No Kill Shelter.
