Sarah Minnie Tischler, 97, of Green Bay and formerly of Door County passed away at Woodside Villa on November 16, 2018. She was born September 21, 1921 to Henry and Elsie (Schultz) Tischler in the Town of Egg Harbor. She was baptized in 1921 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Baileys Harbor and then confirmed August 26, 1934 at Zion Lutheran Church, West Jacksonport.

Sarah graduated from Pleasant Grove School and Gibraltar High School. She was employed in Sturgeon Bay at L.D. Smith Shipbuilding and Bank of Sturgeon Bay. Sarah was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Survivors include her niece, Susan (Keith) Ross, of Madison; a nephew, Tom Tischler, of Cecil; two grand nieces, Lindsay (Ross) Donoval and Kimberly Ross. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Olga; a brother and sister-in-law Ernest (Marjorie) Tischler. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Forbes Funeral Home with the Rev.

Carl Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, West Jacksonport. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home until time of services.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay or Zion Lutheran Church, West Jacksonport in her memory. The family wishes to thank Woodside Villa and Compassus Hospice for their caring service.
