Above all else, he was a family man and loved to be around those he loved. Ray will be missed by his loving wife, Beverly; sons, Gary (Marna Nejedlo) Gauthier and Todd Gauthier; daughter, Dawn (Gary DeWitt) Alger; granddaughter, Alexis Alger; step-daughters, Lori Steinhauer and LuAnne LeMere; step-grandchildren, Kayla, Sam, and Ben Steinhauer and Jackie Bogenberger; two brothers, Larry (Diane) Doolittle and Ron (Karen) Doolittle; brother-in-law, Stanley LaViolette; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gauther, Sr.; mother and step-father, Excilda and Arthur Doolittle; brother, Donald Gauthier; sisters, Marlene (Juel) Madsen and Delores LaViolette; and sister-in-law, Alice Doolittle.

In honor of Ray’s wishes, private services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. and Door County Crematory LLC are assisting the Gauthier family with arrangements.
