Obituary of Sarah T. Smith Sarah T. Smith, 90, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Doyle) Smith. Sarah has been a resident of Schwenckfeld Manor in Lansdale for 6 years and was a member of Corpus Christi RC Church.

She formerly lived in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia where she was a member of Saint Bartholemew RC Church. She had a long career of over 40 years as an Office Manager for S.S. Kresge Co. which later became K-mart. She enjoyed crocheting, playing Rummikub with her friends at Schwenckfeld, and helping to run the bingo there where she enjoyed decorating the tables for every holiday.

Sarah was active at Schwenckfeld Manor and served as Vice President of the residents committee. She was an avid Phillies fan and never missed watching a game. Sarah was also known to enjoy her “cutty and club”, scotch with a splash of soda, while watching the game.

Along with her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her siblings: Stephen ( & Helen) Ragan, John ( & Doris) Ragan, Mary ( & Raymond) Beswick, Helen ( & Albert) Heaton, and Edna ( & James) Ibbotson. She was also preceded in death by her dear friend, Theodore Preston. Sarah is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by many friends especially those she met at Schwenckfeld Manor. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi RC Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.

Interment will be at a later date in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
