Obituary for Scarlett Ester Long Scarlett Lummus Long, age 76 and a resident of Chicago, IL (previously of Lewisville, TX) passed away on May 11, 2018. She grew up in McLeod, TX and lived in Lewisville for 43 years before moving to Austin TX and then to Chicago, IL in 2012. She started her career as a college professor at Dallas Baptist University, then worked as a paralegal for many years until changing careers in the early 90’s to be a field investigator for the Dallas County Medical Examiners Office.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Long of Chicago, IL and her son Bert Long and his wife, Michelle of Westerville, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Hubert Earl Long, Jr. Services were held on Friday, May 18th at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home.
