Obituary for Marie Osborne Marie passed peacefully at 95 years of age, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Fairview, TX, on April 26, 2018. Marie was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi in her homestead to George W. and Lena Price Russell on December 11, 1922. She was a 1940 graduate of Hazlehurst HS and attended Copiah Lincoln Jr. College, and Hill’s Business College in Oklahoma City where she met her first husband of 30 years, Daryl D. Bones, who predeceased her.

She is the widow of Andrew J. Osborne, married for 43 years. Marie was the epitome of a true Gracious Southern Lady! She was a women of faith and read her Bible daily, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother!

It gave her immense pleasure to entertain, work puzzles, garden, bake, being with her family, while volunteering at Lakewood Baptist Church, PTA, Boy Scouts, Garden Club, Antique Club and working at Mississippi Power and Light, Baird Atomic and Southern Methodist University. Marie is survived by her children Russell Bones of Dallas,TX, Steve Bones and wife Laurie of Georgetown,TX and Cheryl Riordan and husband John Dugdale of Fairview, TX. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, David Bones, Lindsey Cook, Michael Bones, Brian Riordan, Shaun Riordan and Keith Riordan.

And 13 great grandchildren, Justin Bones, Emmy Bones, Wyatt Cook, Emmitt Cook, Cian Riordan, Guinevere Riordan, Rowan Riordan, Torin Riordan, Aiden Riordan, Finneas Riordan, Zealia Riordan, Isadore Riordan and Magnolia Riordan. And her beloved nieces Jane Landers of Oklahoma City, OK and Lynn Chiche of Ponte Vedra, FL, and sweet cousins Kim Quine of Oklahoma City, OK, and Pam Woodard of Mustang, OK. Marie is the proud matriarch and last survivor of her family.

She is predeceased by her sisters Lousie Colson and Dorothy Strange, and brothers Wayne Russell and Price Russell. Marie will be remembered for her passion for life, being a great friend and encourager to all. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
