Obituary for James W. Sullivan Jr. James W. Sullivan, age 67, died Saturday at his family’s home in Bonham, TX. James was the son of J.W. and Valta Lea Sullivan. He was born Feb.

26, 1951 in Memphis, Texas. He was a Lewisville Firefighter for 25 years, a Vietnam war veteran serving aboard the destroyer, USS Blandy, and a master welder. He is survived by his three children, Jamie Sapp, Wes Sullivan, and Cassie Sullivan, as well as 7 grandchildren, Ruthie Sullivan, Hank Sullivan, Oscar Sullivan, Sammy Sapp, Gabby Sapp, Prycilla Pirkle, and Jackie Lester.

His sister and brother-in-law, Douglas and Elizabeth Brister, live in Bonham. He has two brothers, Jack and John Strawn, and 7 nieces and nephews. James was a long-time resident of Southlake, TX and Decatur, Tx.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12 at the Central Fire Station in Lewisville starting at 10 A.M. The family asks that no flowers be sent but rather that donations be made to the Fill-the-Boot campaign for MDA or Shriner’s Hospital. Upcoming Events Memorial Service MAY 12.
