Obituary for Sean Christopher Maisey The family of Sean Christopher Maisey is sad to announce that he died November 5, 2018 at the age of 52. Sean was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Williamsburg/James City County, playing soccer and other sports. A 1984 graduate of Lafayette High School, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Virginia Tech in 1988.

For most of his adult life – almost 22 years – Sean worked at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, ending his career there as the director of operations and engineering. A lifelong Hokie, like his father and now his daughter, Sean also loved racing sports cars and motorcycles and playing guitar. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha; former wife Marsha Burdess Maisey; parents, Sheila Shepard and Bill Maisey (Kathy Barnstorff); and his sister, Morgan Weston (Matt and children, Molly and Mac), all of whom live in the Williamsburg area.

The family is planning a private memorial service later. Vincent Funeral Home handling arrangements.
