Obituary for Selma Slavin Selma Slavin Selma Slavin 104 of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 17, 2018 in Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Selma was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 21, 1914 to Alfred and Katherine (Stass) Jacobs. Selma was a homemaker for most her life raising her 2 children and for a short period of time she worked at the former link’s cafeteria.

Selma was preceded in death by her Husband Edward J. Slavin, grandchildren, John Gibson, Alvin Gibson, Kathy Mettie, Ken Maenle Sr., son in law, Larry Gibson Sr., brothers, Alfred Jacobs, and Rinehart Jacobs. Surviving are her son, Dan E. (Cindy) Slavin, daughter, Barbara Gibson, grandchildren, Larry (Francine) Gibson, Harold Gibson, Terry (Francine) Gibson, Candy Maenle, Dan (Wasana) Slavin, Erica (Dan) Curtis. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. Friday December 21, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. where services will be held Saturday December 22, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
