Funeral service for SFC David Roger Broas, ARMY (Ret), age 61 of Cunningham, will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Friday, Jan 04, 2019 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

David passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was born on January 12, 1957 in Kenmore, NY to David and Carole Wheeler Broas. David is preceded in death by his father.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Debbie, and daughters Sara (Jesse) Presley and Katie Broas, brother Richard (Pam) Broas, and sister Marcella (Jeff) Whitman, and granddaughters Harper and Brooklyn. David spent twenty-one years in the United States Army, retiring from the 160th SOAR. He earned many awards and medals during his service.
