Funeral Service for 1SG Dan Beck (Ret), age 73 of Clarksville, TN will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Sykes Funeral Home with a 2:00 pm viewing and 3:00 pm service. There will be a Repast at 4:00 pm at American Legion. Burial will be at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West at a later date.

Dan was born on January 26, 1946 to James and Clara Beck. He spent much of his youth in Chicago and later in Memphis, TN with Mr. PJ Britt who was like a father to him. Due to a football injury, Dan enlisted into the military.

Dan was a Bronze Star recipient and served in Vietnam. He married Bobbie J. Rowell and had 2 daughters: Erica Beck and Nikole CarterHe retired from the military in the early 90s and worked at the CMCSS Bus Transportation as a lead bus driver and the Fort Campbell WR Youth Center. He also was part owner of the Dynamic 6 Country Club and the Annex.

Dan was a loving brother, father and grandfather. He was a friend to many and Dan will be truly missed by all. He is survived by his daughters, Erica Beck, Nikole Carter, Siblings: Janet (Harold) Holly, Lucy (Albert), Steven (Marie), Marlon, Anthony, Michael, Luzette, Eric (Mary) and Jackie.

Grandchildren: Diamond and Crystal Carter and Alana Escue. Along with first cousins: Carolyn, Geneva, Daniel, Anita and 16 nieces and nephews. Also, former wife and good friend of the deceased Levinia McClain.
