Obituary for Sharon Clover (McElroy) Sharon Kay Clover, 68, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at her residence in Red Bud. Sharon was born on February 21, 1950, in Gorham, Illinois, to John Paul McElroy and Bertha (Aldridge) McElroy Dempsey. At Belleville Area College in Belleville, and at Granite City and Red Bud, she had taught medical unit secretarial classes.

She had been a Pink Lady at the Belleville Memorial Hospital. Sharon married Ralph W. Clover on July 22, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2007. She is survived by three children Thomas (Shelley Grace) Clover and Brian Clover, all of Red Bud, and David (Bridget) Clover of O’Fallon, MO; six grandchildren Christina Clover, Megan Clover, John Clover, Connor Clover, Nicholas Clover and Liam Clover; and two great grandchildren Delilah Clover and Brooklyn Clover.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Peggy Camp officiating and burial at Goodbread Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. For more information, please visit www.
