Obituary for Sharon Sue Medbury Sharon Sue Medbury, age 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was born on June 4, 1954 to Arthur C. and Doris E. (Norconk) Medbury in Muskegon and was a member of Church of God United. She enjoyed going camping with a group from work and playing pool.

Sherry worked at Mercy Hospital for 36 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a part of the first open-heart surgery team at Mercy Hospital and also worked in the ER and OR. She was known as a kind mentor to many new nurses and loved all of the countless patients she cared for over the years.

Her compassionate and warm personality was evident everyday to anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. Sherry was kind and generous, always thinking of others and putting them before herself. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews, who meant everything to her.

Sherry will be deeply missed by her mother, Doris; siblings, Michael (Karen) Medbury and Debbie Koats (David Butler); nieces and nephews, Heidi, Erin, Cara, Steven and Seth and Erica, Heather and Kyle; many great-nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Jim Koats; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur; and niece, Jennifer Anne Koats. The family would like to extend a tremendous thanks to Sherry’s extraordinary caregivers over the years, Dee, Candy, Carolyn, Tammie, Millie and Joyce.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, 231-798-1100. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 21 from 5-7PM. Please visit the family’s online guestbook at www.
