OBITUARY Shaun Barnes Long December 19, 1969 – October 19, 2018 Shaun Barnes Long, 48 of Wilmington, entered eternal rest on October 27, 2018 after years of dialysis treatment. Shaun was born December 19, 1969 in Hampton, Virginia, the daughter of the late Walt and Loretta Long. Shaun loved the Lord, she had attended Northside Church in Wilmington.

She loved her friends in both the Carolina’s and Virginia, she spoke of them often with great fondness. Shaun loved to celebrate many special occasions, whether it be a birthday, holiday, or even a football game. Through the love and support of family Shaun was able to enjoy everyday that she was blessed with to the fullest.

Survivors include her two sisters, Debbie Torres and Wendy Long both of Southport; she also leaves behind her beloved dog Gucci; two nephews, Daniel Long and his wife Pamela, and Matthew Mortenson; niece Julia Mortenson; a great-niece Zendaya Hempstead; and cousins from coast to coast. The family would like to express how grateful they are to Northchase DaVita Dialysis, who became like family to Shaun, for their loving care. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
